Living in the Garden with God: The July Sermon Series
Join us throughout July as we embark on a spiritual journey, exploring the profound theme of Living in the Garden with God. This series invites us to rediscover our inherent connection to the Divine, recognizing the world as a sacred garden where we are not just inhabitants, but active co-creators. We will delve into the wisdom of ancient scriptures, draw inspiration from creation’s marvels, and uncover our true purpose as loving stewards of life.

July 13: “Where are we? What is this place?”
This Sunday, we journey back to the very beginning, exploring the profound question: “Where are we? What is this place?” Drawing inspiration from Genesis 1:3, “And God said, ‘Let there be…'” we will immerse ourselves in the awe and wonder of creation. Every breath, every sunrise, every intricate detail of existence whispers, “Oh! My Good-ness.” We’ll contemplate the initial, perfect design of the ‘Garden’—our world and our being—and discover our sacred place within this magnificent divine unfolding. Come, and be reminded of the inherent goodness of all that is.

July 20: “…and several thousand years later…”
From the dawn of creation, we fast forward through time to discover that even ” …and several thousand years later…” the Divine presence and guidance remain steadfast. As we turn to Genesis 6:13, “And God said to Noah…make yourself an Ark…,” we see humanity navigating new challenges, yet still enveloped by Divine care. This Sunday, we’ll reflect on our own journey, acknowledging the shifts and storms of life, and recognizing that through it all, the guiding hand of the Divine is ever-present. Even in times of necessary change and transformation, we can still declare, “Oh! My Good-ness,” for Divine’s plan for us always leads to transformation and new beginnings.

July 27: “Are We the Gardeners Today?”
As our series culminates, we ask a powerful question: “Are We the Gardeners Today?” Reflecting on Genesis 1:31, “And God saw everything that God made, and behold, it was very good,” we recognize that we are not merely inhabitants of the Garden, but active participants in its continuous creation. This Sunday, we embrace our sacred role as co-creators, understanding that “Divine Love guides my choices.” We’ll explore how our conscious intentions and actions, rooted in love, allow us to cultivate goodness in our lives and the world around us, truly living as stewards of God’s magnificent Garden.
