Bhagavad Gita

Join us at 7 PM  for “Introduction to the Bhagavad Gita “

sponsored by Friends of Unity and ISKON, Interfaith Partners to Timeless Wisdom

The seven-session Introduction to the Bhagavad Gita will end on December 9th (except  November 25 off for Thanksgiving).
Wednesdays, 7-8 p.m., followed by prayer song chanting for those interested on Zoom. Even if you’ve missed a session, our introductory class is open.

“Our introduction to the Gita has additionally become a history lesson along with deep spiritual ideas to contemplate. Nitai has devoted years to the study and application of the ideas presented in the Gita, and increasingly shares his personal insights.  Personally, I am still thinking about our study of the cover of the book!–and the implications to the way we answer the questions from the opening ‘scene’ between Arjuna and Lord Krishna.” Kathy Harwood Long
The sessions are a systematic and scientific presentation on the essence of the timeless Vedic wisdom of India with topics:
  • Search for happiness
  • Does God exist?
  • Who am I?
  • One God or many gods
  • Why do bad things happen to good people?
  • Practical spirituality

Presented by Nitai Jivan Das – Born and raised in the Detroit area, has been practicing the process of Bhakti Yoga from a young age. While being a business professional in a highly demanding industry, he has weaved his deeply rooted spiritual perspective with his career ambitions to find peace and harmony by applying the practical wisdom in ancient Vedic philosophy. He holds an MBA from Indiana University and BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
